Lean Management Book, Gemba Walks, by James Womack Challenges the Prevailing Management System
In short, lean is not a religion but a daily practice of conducting experiments and accumulating knowledge. According to Womack, the latter are orphan as there is no one to take care of them in most organizations.
As the world does not become lean, let’s learn how to do and make our part. This organization made the book easy to dalks. The best known are: But, in business, because we’ve not thought through a process holistically, nor have really womwck why we’re doing something, we create waste. I am sure this will not be the last we hear from Jim and frankly I would be happy with that.

Womack provides great principles to leanify your information management. A very good book on the importance of getting up and out of the office to interact with your fellow workers and those you provide a service to. An interesting book that got me to thinking about how it may apply to my profession law enforcement in leaning out some of the processes, policies and procedures so prevalent.

A genuine act of leadership. With Gemba Walks, Womack has selected and re-organized his key letters, as well as written new material providing additional context.

I really enjoyed how the book was organized into “like” essays. Indeed, do it in a single-page A3 format. What else would you do? Gemba Walks Expanded 2 nd Edition is eye opening, though provoking, and completely informing.
Offering others the courage to try truly embodies showing respect for people. Do it in a simple memo. Else, adopt a purpose driven, holistic thinking about creating results with your customer in mind.
