Be aboslutely sure that they still support the speakers, and that reconing won’t cost more than the speaker is worth if needed. They have the tangerine phase plugs.

If you’re playing your tunes for a bunch of people in a club or at a wedding the g series is fine. From what I remember, the drivers where not typical mainstream JBL drivers of the day, like ‘s or 15’s and compression drivers, but rather some odd-ball special Jbbl series stuff. Previous 1 2 Next. I have the old catalogues and that jbp should be the GA I used to own a pair of L80Ts back in the day and they sounded sweet. I think its common knowledge that a SS amp pushed into clipping can blow speakers pretty easily, or am I missing something Need subs, quite apparently Not wild about the cabinets. Is there a “smilie” for blowing smoke?

By far the best frequency range of all systems suitable for home cranking. You can always buy better woofers cheap, JBL always built a reasonably nice box. I’ve heard that the Cabaret series rocks as does the SR series.
